Beyond the Classroom Inc.

Grant Award:  $3,100

Purpose: Provide underserved youth and their families access to no-cost learning and engagement opportunities including student, parent and community engagement programs.

Charlene’s Circle of Support Inc.

Grant Award:  $2,475

Purpose: Expand the care package program in Charles County, into a Family Care Package Program, creating a system that addresses the needs of both the caregivers and children. This program addresses the critical material needs while also supporting the emotional wellbeing of youth.

Chesapeake Choral Arts Society

Grant Award:  $5,000

Purpose: Provide choral music entertaining the Charles County community through free concerts including a holiday program in December and a spring concert in March.

Jamaur Law Foundation

Grant Award:  $5,000

Purpose: Provide underserved Charles County residents with free literacy training, essential food support and tools for economic mobility to reduce poverty and improve stability.

Life Journeys Writer Club

Grant Award:  $5,000

Purpose: Begin a program at UM Charles Regional Medical Center with the goal of nurturing and empowering individuals voices of medical professionals serving Charles County through writing and mentoring workshops held monthly.

Project Veteran House

Grant Award:  $2,500

Purpose: Boots on the Ground program providing necessities for unhoused Veterans living in Charles County and their families including tents, sleeping bags, hygiene kits and first aid kits.

Seeds of Courage, Inc.

Grant Award:  $5,000

Purpose: The Bravery Bags program will empower survivors in Charles County to break free from financial abuse and achieve lasting economic stability.

Southern Sprinters Elite Youth Track Foundation, Inc.

Grant Award:  $2,500

Purpose: Offering a series of clinics free of charge, aiming to ensure that all interested athletes, regardless of background, can access high-quality coaching and resources that can pave the way for collegiate opportunities and long-term athletic development.

Toiletry and Company, Inc.

Grant Award:  $3,000

Purpose: Launch of the Feel Good Smell Good initiative providing essential hygiene products such as soap, shampoo, deodorant, toothpaste and razors to underserved young men. Through improving access to hygiene supplies, the initiative aims to enhance self-esteem and encourage participation in school and the workplace.
