December 3, 2025 was a memorable evening for Charles County’s nonprofit sector as the Charitable Trust hosted their annual Holiday Party featuring the Inaugural Nonprofit Impact Awards. Charitable Trust Staff collected nominations in 5 award categories that were evaluated by a committee of Board Members and volunteers to select the 2025 winners. Over 40 submissions were collected nominating 22 individuals from throughout Charles County. Anyone involved with a Charles County nonprofit organization, whether as an employee, volunteer, or supporter were eligible to be nominated. All nominees were celebrated across all the Charitable Trust’s platforms and in person at the December 3rd event.
The Charitable Trust was thrilled to draw the highest attendance at this event of any hosted since the organization’s inception in 2017. Staff and Board members hosted about 150 nonprofit leaders, elected officials, volunteers, and community members for the Holiday Party at Jaycee’s Community Center in Waldorf. The Nonprofit Impact Awards were made possible thanks to these event sponsors who stepped up with generous donations:
Shore United Bank as a “Difference Maker” Sponsor
Russell Yates, CPA as a “Shining Star” Sponsor
LB Innovations as a “Helping Hands” Sponsor
Southern Maryland Business Center as a “Helping Hands” Sponsor
These businesses are true allies of our nonprofit community, and we deeply appreciate their support!
