Who We Are
Close to 500 nonprofit charities operate in Charles County. Their work covers a broad spectrum of programs broadly including health, disabilities, the arts, education, law, environment, animal welfare, and employment. Although their missions vary, all these organizations share a common goal – to improve the quality of life for county residents.
Together they make up what is known as the nonprofit sector.
The Charles County Charitable Trust is wholly devoted to promoting the effectiveness of this vitally important sector. We provide grant funds, offer innovative training programs, and promote use of meaningful partnerships. We also track needs affecting the sector and measure its impact on the economy and community life.
